Wheels are there. Panels past the A pillar are there. Seats are there. windshield is there. Gearbox presumably is still there. NP.
Also $8500 + $25,000 repair = $32,500 GT-R? NP

I doubt it would even cost that to fix it. More like a $25k GTR with a salvage title. If there's no frame damage, it doesn't bother me.

What's a used 2010 GT-R worth? KBB says fair condition is worth $60k. In order to be totaled by insurance, the damage has to exceed the worth of the car. I think the $25k is a very low estimate. Something just isn't right about either figure.

Unless the entire drives side was side-swiped, I don't see it. A-Pillars are fine, windshields ok, everything behind the firewall is clean. Frame straightening and parts can't cost that much.
A lot more cars than you think get totaled when they can be fixed easily.

Or rebuild it and sell it. Way more lucrative.

I guess i'm just skeptical. The GT-R is too precise of a machine to repair without looking over the ENTIRE car at the same time, in my mind.

Also if the airbag went off, that's an $18,000 repair . Hood is at least a grand, front bumper is over a grand , fenders are a grand a piece, headlights and grill are about a grand total. So so far that's around $23k for just cosmetics. Frame straightening would have to be uber precise, so probably a grand. Paint job because the bumpers are unpainted. And there's bound to be mechanical damage somewhere.

I believe the two firing-arms in the bonnet cost about £12,000 to replace here in England, I don't know what that is over there ($18,000?) and that's just for the little arms that fire the bonnet up in the event of a front end smash. That's what a Nissan GTR specialist sales guy told me and a friend when we were looking at one anyway.
I have a feeling you'd be spending more than the $32k there. But it might well be cheaper over there in the states!
